Whether organising a weekly class or a large event, safeguarding is essential to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. So what does this mean.
We ask that all clubs and societies:
- Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all individuals.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment.
- Be alert to and aware of inappropriate or unsafe behaviours.
- Be ready to respond to, challenge or report any concerns
- Comply with relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and procedures.
The Kennel Club will offer ongoing support through the following actions:
- Supplying safeguarding templates and guidance.
- Serving as an escalation point for any safeguarding concerns or disclosures
- Assisting clubs and societies with referrals where appropriate
