The Royal Kennel Club (RKC) has completed the sale of the Emblehope & Burngrange Estate, its 7,500-acre estate in Northumberland, to nature restoration company, RESTORE NATURE LIMITED.
The sale forms part of the RKC’s ongoing management of its property portfolio and reflects the organisation’s commitment to ensuring its assets continue to support its long-term, profit-for-purpose objectives.
Under the RKC’s ownership, Emblehope flourished as a well-managed estate, with effective land management, gamekeeping and animal husbandry maintained to a very high standard. The RKC is pleased that RESTORE intends to retain the existing estate team, recognising the wealth of knowledge and expertise they bring and the important role they play within the local community.
The sale will enable RESTORE NATURE LIMITED to invest in a long-term programme of landscape-scale nature recovery at Emblehope, supporting habitat restoration, biodiversity improvements and climate resilience across the estate.
The RKC welcomes RESTORE’s commitment to working collaboratively with the existing estate team and local business community to help ensure the estate continues to deliver lasting environmental and community benefits.
