Phoenix, an eight-year-old Border Collie and Ellie Beach, 19, from Burton-in-Kendal, Cumbria, won the Young Royal Kennel Club (YRKC) Agility Dog of the Year at Crufts on Saturday 7 March.
The competition, which was open to YRKC members aged from 6-24 and their dogs, saw top young agility handlers compete for the coveted title of YRKC Agility Dog of the Year, before Ellie and Phoenix (Devongem Bravo) triumphed in the bp pulse LIVE at the NEC, Birmingham.
Jannine Edgar, Chief Executive of the Royal Kennel Club said: “Huge congratulations to Ellie and Phoenix on winning the YRKC Agility Dog of the Year. Their impressive skill and commitment were clear to see, and their success reflects the hard work they’ve put in. We have no doubt they’ll be ones to watch in future Crufts events. We continue to be amazed by the incredible talent shown across all YRKC competitions, and every competitor should feel very proud of their achievements.”
