Agility Team GB is celebrating taking home two gold medals and one silver medal at the FCI Agility World Championships, which took place in Turku, Finland, on 22-27 September.
The championships brought together over 530 of the world’s top agility athletes from 38 countries, including 16 British handlers and 21 dogs, competing across the Small, Medium, Intermediate and Large categories.
The Agility Team GB Large and Small teams both claimed gold, while Agility Team GB’s Martin Reid secured silver in the Individual Small competition for the third consecutive year. The medals marked Agility Team GB’s first of 2026 after the European Open was cancelled earlier this year.

The team secured gold after placing second in the Jumping round and first in the Agility round.

Individual Small: Martin Reid and his Shetland Sheepdog Selfie (Ag Ch Get It With Eager To Work)
Martin claimed his silver medal after placing first in the Small Agility class and seventh in the Jumping Class.
The team were also successful in the individual classes, with Naarah Cuddy and Banana placing third in the Large Individual Jumping, while Shannon Springford and Halloumi (I'm Feeling Cheesy with Eager to Work) placed second in the Small Individual Agility.

The hard work and commitment that went into the team’s preparation resulted in some phenomenal performances, both in the overall medal standings and in individual class results.
“This group of handlers has pulled together with an incredible team spirit, and it has been a pleasure to be their Team Manager.
“The obvious highlights are the two gold medals achieved in a single afternoon, but while we didn’t medal in every height, it is hugely satisfying to see just how competitive we are across all four classes.”
