I have 5 pedigree show cocker spaniels (4 goldens and a chocolate) including golden stud dogs Mungo and Ludo who are tested to the RKC ‘best practice’ list for cockers. That is a considerably more weighty list that ‘good practice’. My dogs are my family pets who live in our home but nonetheless I have a 5 star / low risk animal welfare licence with Wiltshire Council. Additionally, I assess spaniels and foster for the charity Spaniel Aid and try and help the dogs who should never have been sold to buyers as they have the wrong setup for a show spaniel. I am stud handler of Mungo and Ludo. Both tested to RKC ‘best practice lists’. They have regular litters and I breed occasionally at the very highest standard. I have had three home visits and assessments of my dog welfare practices by three different organisations: the Royal Kennel Cub, Wiltshire Council and Spaniel Aid. I am top of my game in terms of understanding the breeding of show cockers.
